Louis Vuitton Robots: NYC/LA Window Displays

For the 200th Anniversary of Louis Vuitton, our team at Essay Video completed a series of 5m tall robots in NY and LA. This was a global launch with many months spent on collaboration with LV, Space/Craft, INFiLED and IVS in Paris.

200 Years of Louis Vuitton

In honor of designer Louis Vuitton’s 200th birthday, the luxury brand has commissioned 200 people to submit imagery and re-imagine the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk. In addition to artists and designers, the brand also brought in folks from other trades and walks of life, including an astronaut, a drag queen, a glove maker, an astrologer, among others. Their designs adorn rotating displays on LED trunks — and robots.

Essay Video was brought to realize and install these various forms in LA at Louis Vuitton on Rodeo Drive, as well as Louis Vuitton’s NYC location on Fifth Avenue.
