Projection Mapping for Genesis Motor Speedium Coupe
Essay Video used projections mapped to certain areas of the car to create the effect of motion in a studio environment. The project by Gradient & 3V unveiled the Genesis Speedium Coupe concept car, with projection’s mapped across the wheel and car’s surface.
We’re excited to share how this example of projection mapping was able to create the illusion of motion.
Projection mapping can be used to cast any design, graphic, lettering, or other type of visual artwork on a surface. The surface can be unusual in shape, or flat. The texture of the surface can create new opportunities as well. For instance, casting to a transparent or translucent surface can create holographic-like effects on a material.
This usage of animating the Speedium Coupe’s wheels showcases an intriguing way that projection maps can be used, and at Essay Video, we’re always excited to see what else designers can come up with. Get in touch with our team to learn more about how you can utilize projections on your project.
