Projection Mapping for Genesis Motor Speedium Coupe

Essay Video used projections mapped to certain areas of the car to create the effect of motion in a studio environment. The project by Gradient & 3V unveiled the Genesis Speedium Coupe concept car, with projection’s mapped across the wheel and car’s surface.

Projection mapping can be used to cast any design, graphic, lettering, or other type of visual artwork on a surface. The surface can be unusual in shape, or flat. The texture of the surface can create new opportunities as well. For instance, casting to a transparent or translucent surface can create holographic-like effects on a material.
